HOW DOES PRO•A SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY?
PRO•A can provide technical assistance in many ways. PRO-A and our Regional Affiliates provide recovery support services through: education on issues surrounding alcohol and other drug addiction; leadership development; community education; case advocacy; youth driven recovery activities; recovery supports and social/recreational activities. PRO•A holds an annual conference for grassroots membership in Harrisburg during National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month. This event serves as an opportunity for education, information, collaboration and networking for state and local policy makers, individuals in recovery, treatment providers, family members and other supporters of the recovery community. This provides individuals supportive of recovery the opportunity to show our state legislature that recovery is possible.
